Pennsylvania is a state in the Middle Atlantic region of the United States of America. This state is renowned all over the world for its natural beauty and rich historical heritage. The state of Pennsylvania has a shoreline of about 51 miles, along the banks of the Lake Erie, one of the Five Great Lakes of North America.   • Harrisburg – Among the cities in Pennsylvania, Harrisburg is the more important, as it is the capital of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It also acts as the seat of the Dauphin County. The city had played an important role during the American Civil War. Located along the banks of the Susquehanna River Harrisburg, had been one of the most industrialized cities of America.
  • Philadelphia – This is the largest city of Pennsylvania and one of the largest in the entire US. It is one of the most important cultural commercial and educational hubs of the United States. The city has a glorious past and had been the first capital of United States, in the 18th century. The grand buildings of the past has now been transformed into places of interest for tourists.
  • Pittsburgh – This is the second largest city of Pennsylvania. The city is located at the confluence of Allegheny and Monongahela rivers. The city is famous for its skyline which consists of several sky scrapers.
  • Allentown – Located in the Lehigh county, Allentown is one of the most important cities of Pennsylvania. Located along the banks of the Lehigh river, the city is the most important one in the entire Lehigh Valley region. Some other important cities of Pennsylvania are, Bethlehem, Easton, Erie, Reading, Scranton, Lancaster and Altoona.
