Established in the year 1952, the Eastern University has attracted a large number of students from all over the world. It is a co-educational institution and a Christian University in Pennsylvania's St Davids. The university is associated with American Baptist Churches. The university provides scholarship, job prospects and student development programs. It has a total of about three thousand students and three hundred and fifty staff. The Eastern University s located at St Davids in Pennsylvania in U.S.A and cover about ninety two acres of land. |
Eastern University was established under the Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary department. The institution was separated in the year 1952 and it was shifted to St Davids area. It was renamed as Eastern College and encouraged a good number if students from all over the world. In the year 2001, the department acquired the university status and became famous as Eastern University. The students of the Golf Coast area college were offered great help by the institution. A radio program, named as Hugh Hewitt's was hosted by the Eastern University in 2007 with a famous professor and a commentator.
There are many halls in Eastern University. Some of them are as follows:
- Adams Hall – The department of the Campus services is situated in the Adams Hall.
- Eagle Hall – This hall is known for arranging ceremonies.
- Andrews Hall – The hall consist of Chemistry and Physics classrooms. It was formerly a garage.
- Gough Hall – There is a large seminar room, a kitchen, dormitories, conference room and a laundry.
- Guffin Hall – The Guffin Hall used to be a private home and now it is a co-educational dormitory. There is a lounge and a snack bar on the ground floor of the Guffin Hall.
There is a gymnasium, a greenhouse, a heritage house, a mall cottage and a learning center within the Eastern University campus.
