Bucknell University is one of the most popular universities of Philadelphia. It is a well known private university that is located nearby the Susquehanna River. The university of Wilkes was regarded as a satellite campus of the Bucknell University. It emerged as an independent institution in the year 1940 and received the status of a university in 1990.
